Kate Middleton’s mum steals style tips from her daughter as she steps out in same Boden coat the Duchess of Cambridge wore while pregnant
KATE Middleton’s mum Carole Middleton has stepped out in the same coat the Duchess of Cambridge wore while pregnant with Prince Louis.
Kate Middleton recently returned to her royal duties after the birth of baby number three with husband Prince William.
The Duchess of Cambridge is a pro at styling her baby bump, recycling sleek high-street maternity wear from her pregnancies with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in a move we expect to see Meghan Markle adopting in the not-too-distant future.
Meghan has taken style tips from her sister-in-law, including ditching heels for wedges and recycling her clothes as she tours Australia with husband Prince Harry.
And now it looks like the Duchess of Cambridge’s mother is at it too, as Carole has been spotted in one of Kate’s favourite coats.
During her pregnancy with Prince Louis, Kate sported a burnt orange coat from designer Boden.
In January 2018 the Duchess stepped out of Great Ormond Street hospital during the end of her second trimester with baby Louis in the gorgeous number.
And now her mother, Carole Middleton, has been spotted in the exact same coat during a visit to Pippa Middleton’s house, who recently gave birth to a baby boy with husband James Matthews.
While Carole could just love the same style as her daughter, it’s even possible that Kate passed the coat onto her mother, which is an excellent way to to recycle lovely clothes.
According to the Daily Mail, Kate has been responsible for a 300 per cent rise in searches for tailored maternity coats on eBay.
The Duchess was named as the top style influencer of the royal family in eBay’s annual UK report, with people searching for custom coats and dresses by Alexander McQueen, Séraphine and Jenny Packham.
We wouldn’t be surprised if we also see the Duchess of Sussex in some of Kate’s favourite maternity brands soon.
