Kate Middleton set to break another royal tradition?
Pregnant Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William could make unusual school choice for Prince George
The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton is pregnant with her third baby.
Pregnant Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrated their sixth anniversary earlier this year, after getting married in April 2011.
And now the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge – already parents to Prince George who just started school and Princess Charlotte – are expecting their third child.
They are, in many respects, the traditional royal family.
Kate – who goes by a surprising different name in Northern Ireland and Scotland – follows a series of strict etiquette rules to ensure she maintains her reputation, however they don’t always follow tradition, and have been known to make some surprising decisions.
And now reports have suggested they could be set to make another unusual decision when it comes to Prince George and the school he’ll go to after prep school Thomas’s Battersea.
A source told the Sunday Times: “The word on the street is that his parents want co-education and boarding when he leaves prep school.”
This would be similar to Kate’s own upbringing, having attended boarding school Marlborough College herself.
Traditionally boys school Eton has been a popular school choice for royals, with both William and Prince Harry attending.
The most popular school for Prince George’s current school is reportedly Brighton College, which would be a step away from the usual royal school choices, but reflects Kate and Wills’ down-to-earth approach to parenting.
Kate Middleton most recently stepped out for the first time since her pregnancy announcement, for an event at Kensington Palace to support World Mental Health Day.
According to recent reports however, the Duchess is frustrated that Harry and his American actress girlfriend Meghan Markle , who plays Rachel Zane in Suits, are “stealing her limelight”.
The mother of two is allegedly worried that the possibility of an engagement between Harry and Suits star Meghan will overshadow her, according to reports.
