Kate Middleton news: Royal glows in never-before-seen clip ahead of Prince Louis’ birth
QUEEN OF THE WORLD began on ITV tonight as fans of the royal family were offered an exciting glimpse into the life of the famous clan. It was a special treat for admirers of Kate Middleton who could see her in the late stages of her pregnancy with Prince Louis.
Tonight saw the airing of the first episode of Queen of the World, a new documentary insight into the Queen and the Commonwealth.
In the ITV programme, Kate could be seen greeting designer Euphemia-Ann Sydney-Davis at a fashion show where she’s far along in her pregnancy with Prince Louis.
The fashion showcase took place in February as the Duchess of Cambridge, along with the Countess of Wessex, invited designers from the Commonwealth to Buckingham Palace.
Kate extended warm greetings to Euphemia as she said: “Very nice to meet you.”
“You look fabulous,” the guest responded to the glowing royal.
Kate gave birth to her third child, full name Louis Arthur Charles, back in April on St George’s Day.
He is fifth in line of succession to the throne behind his two siblings Charlotte and George, his father William, and grandfather Charles.
The two-part documentary promised to offer viewers “a unique insight into Her Majesty the Queen’s role as a figure on the global stage and the baton she is passing to the younger members of the Royal family as they continue to build the Commonwealth connection”.
The programme was filmed over the course of a year and the filmmakers were given access to the family’s own private home videos.
Newest addition to the family Meghan Markle also featured in the show as she was reunited with her wedding dress from her nuptials to Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex’s veil was embroidered with 53 flowers, one for each of the Commonwealth countries.
Upon seeing the veil, Meghan remarked: “53 countries, oh my goodness.”
The Queen is also seen recording her Christmas message, however things didn’t quite go accordingly to plan.
A crew member has to inform Her Majesty that one recording had been interrupted by the sounds of birds from outside the window.
He asked her to “redo it from the top” and it’s clear the Queen was surprised.
“From the top of the second page?” the monarch questioned.
“From the very start,” he responds.
The Queen continues: “You want the whole thing again?”
“If possible,” he retorted before the Queen laughed at the moment.
