Kate Middleton Hit Prince William in the Face With a Massive Snowball
Kate Middleton and Prince William may soon be welcoming their third child, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t still kids at heart, too.
During their recent royal tour of Sweden and Norway, the pair appeared to have plenty of fun as they gallivanted around the two nations with their fellow royals, Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel and Norway’s King Harald and Queen Sonja. While in both countries Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge attended state dinners, visited with locals, and spent time with the charities they care most about.
But in a brief, unguarded moment, the pair let loose in Norway while playing together in the snow that captured them in a much more relaxed, and intimate light.
As they sat with some local children along the slopes, Middleton packed a tight little snowball and Prince William shouted, “it’s too cold for snowballs!” Even if that’s true (and we’re pretty sure it isn’t), it was too late as Middleton already sent the ball flying directly into Prince William’s face.
Prince William was a good sport about the mini snowball fight and laughed heartily with his wife and friends during their outing.

It makes sense the couple would want to romp around in the snow that day as they were visiting Holmenkollen, a tiny and rather snowy hillside community that overlooks Oslo. In the village the couple paid a visit to the winter sports area, which is home to the nation most famous ski jump, and also stopped into the local ski museum.
Though the royal couple left their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at home for the trip, Middleton reportedly told locals in the ski village that her kids would have loved to play in the snow, too.
She said their children would love to be here and that it is a nice place,” Line Hansen, manager of the kindergarten at Ovresetertjern, near Oslo, told PEOPLE. “She said that George tried skiing when he was 2 and a half, so he was just starting.”
Of course, this wasn’t the only winter sporting activity that Middleton took part in during this trip. While in Sweden, both she and her husband took to the ice to try out bandy hockey, a popular sport in the country. Not only did Middleton look like a natural, but she also scored a goal, too. Hopefully, George, Charlotte and the third royal baby to come inherit their mom’s athletic genes.
