A solemn young figure in an all-black suit, the first-born Wales child joined his parents for the procession before the service.

The young royal walked into Westminster Abbey alongside his sister, Princess Charlotte and his mother, Kate.

He then walked through Westminster Abbey with his father, Prince William.

The Prince and Princess of Wales walked ahead of George and his seven-year-old sister, Charlotte.

Their younger brother Louis, four, did not attend.

Nor did Harry and Meghan’s children, Archie, three, and Lilibet, one.

The Queen’s coffin, which had been lying in state for four days at Westminster Hall, was taken by pallbearers to be placed on the Royal Navy State Funeral Gun carriage just after 10.30am.

The coffin was carried from New Palace Yard towards Westminster Abbey on the gun carriage, departing just before 10.45am.
