He told listeners on his Heir Pod podcast: “I think Kensington Palace have really shied away from calling it a re-brand of sorts but this is clearly a very obvious attempt, at the very least, to seem within reach, a bit more personal, more accessible.
“This is a side of the Cambridges I think we’ll see more of over the current years ahead.
“When we look at the current line up of working Royals, it is slim.

“Above them are very big boots to fill, so really it’s up to the Cambridges to keep that personal connection with the public, not just in the UK but around the world.”
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are the only royals to have their own YouTube channel independently of the Royal Family’s channel.
They have invested a lot of energy and time into social media to promote themselves and their public work in recent years.
There has been a strong emphasis on making their content more frequent, personal and informative.
Last April, they hired Harry and Meghan’s former digital communications head to help them spruce up their social media presence.
Professor Jonathan Shalit told Vanity Fair that YouTube was one of the best ways to communicate with younger people.
He added: “Most people use social media to make money, but the Cambridges are using it to bring attention to their causes.
“It’s the most effective way to do that and the team behind them know what they are doing.
“They don’t need newspapers and traditional media as much now.”
