Kate and Prince William reveal parenting NIGHTMARE – ‘How do we deal with THIS?’
PRINCE William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, have opened up about their parenting nightmare as they revealed their struggle to find a balance for the time their children spend online.
Kate and William – who are parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – discussed the parenting dilemma on Thursday as they stepped out for an engagement at the BBC to mark Anti-Bullying Week.
The Duke of Cambridge admitted working out a balance for online time was “quite difficult”.
William said: “We still haven’t worked out what the right balance is for online time.
“We’re going to have that discussion with our family, how on earth are we going to police and have family time when the phones are all put down and you’re offline?
“Because we’re all so connected now that we’ve got to say, ‘right, for instance, we’re eating now’.”
And William questioned how other parents tackle the issue.
William said: “This generation are going to be the first generation to grow up fully immersed in mobile phones, social media, lots of stuff.
“And yet our generation, the older generation, the parent generation, we’re completely left at, ‘how do we deal with this? Where do we go to? Where do you learn about how to look after your children’s digital world?’”
William and Kate attended the engagement the day after the couple took a night off parenting duties to attend Prince Charles’s 70th birthday party at Buckingham Palace.
The Queen hosted a glittering bash at Buckingham Palace for her son’s milestone birthday on Wednesday.
Kate and William were seen arriving at the glitzy do, with Kate donning a pair of show-stopping diamond earrings.
And the couple’s adorable three children featured in two new family pictures released to celebrate Charles’s birthday.
George, Charlotte and Louis stole the show in the lovely photos taken in the gardens of Clarence House.
Little Charlotte, three, looks very grown up as she sits on her own, while five-year-old George is on his grandfather’s lap.
Kate is holding Louis – who was born in April – as he flashes a cute smile at the camera.
Kate and William have had a busy week, completing engagements in South Yorkshire on Wednesday ahead of Charles’s party.
