MEGHAN Markle’s mum Doria Ragland will NOT be spending Christmas with the royals at Sandringham.
According to recent reports, the 62-year-old yoga instructor had accepted an invitation from the Queen to celebrate in Norfolk. But a Palace spokesman today told Fox News: “This is not something that we’re commenting on; however, we have previously guided that reports suggesting Ms Ragland is spending Christmas in Norfolk are made up.” Tra
The Duchess of Cambridge’s parents Michael and Carole Middleton have reportedly never been invited.
Kate’s family has, however, been invited for the Christmas morning church service, but have always been based at Kate and William’s home at Anmer Hall, rather than at Sandringham House.
Prime Andrew’s ex wife Sarah Ferguson has also not received an invite since the couple’s divorce.
Princess Diana, however, continued to receive invites for the lavish Christmas party even after her divorce with Prince Charles.
But she always declined due to finding the occasion “stuffy and claustrophobic”.
This will be Meghan and Prince Harry’s last Christmas together as a couple before they welcome their first child.
And although Doria won’t be there to celebrate with them, rumours persist that Meghan is planning a “mother-in-law suite” for her in the royal couple’s new home Frogmore Cottage.
A source recently told Vanity Fair magazine: “Doria plans to be around a lot when the baby arrives, and there are plans for her to have a dedicated space at their new home.
“She wants to be on hand to help Meghan and Harry with the baby.
“Doria will be involved and if she’s involved she will be encouraging Meg to go for a natural birth.”
Earlier reports had suggested the Duchess of Sussex’s mother was planning to move permanently to the UK to help out with the royal baby – but sources have now dismissed the claims, adding Ms Ragland’s main home will still be Los Angeles.
