KATE MIDDLETON and her husband Prince William were gifted Anmer Hall on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate as a wedding present, with the duo living there for some time, before moving back to London’s Kensington Palace. What does it look like inside?
Spending time in the countryside is something many people enjoy doing from time to time. From the fresh air to the peaceful surroundings, a getaway to a rural corner of the country is something some Britons love. And, considering the stunning photographs of the country house Anmer Hall, it’s likely that Prince William and Kate Middleton may also take great pleasure in getting out of the city, too. The red-brick building has an incredible facade, but what’s it like inside?
There are few photographs of the interior available for the public to see.
However, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have given a glimpse at their country home in the past.
Having been gifted Anmer Hall by Queen Elizabeth II as a wedding present, following their nuptials in 2011, the pair were said to have intended to reside there during their country breaks.
However, following the arrival of Princess Charlotte, now three, in 2015, the couple moved to Anmer Hall full-time.
As Prince George, now five, approached school age in 2017, the family moved back to London, to take up residence at Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace.
However, while they now spend the majority of their time in the 20-bedroom pad in the capital, the family are thought to still visit their country home.
In June 2015, Kate and Prince William released a shot of Prince George and the newborn Princess Charlotte – which had been taken a month earlier.
The snap showed the pair sitting on a chair inside of Anmer Hall.
While not much can be seen of the room, the decor is clearly cream.
Months later, in November that year, another photo of Prince Charlotte was shared.
The capture showed the tot sitting on a green and yellow checked chair, which had a decorative wooden frame.
In the background, another wooden chair could be seen.
The following year, in May 2016, a series of photographs or Princess Charlotte were released.
In one snap, Princess Charlotte gazed at the camera while sitting on a child-sized wicker chair.
Behind her stood a striped cream sofa, which had been adorned with cushions.
While the majority of the snaps hint at a pale-toned interior design, some of these cushions featured a bold red pattern.
