Meghan Markle and Prince Harry didn’t make the cut.

Ahead of Prince Louis’ christening ceremony this afternoon, Kensington Palace announced Monday morning that Prince William and Kate Middleton have chosen not one, not two, but six godparents for Britain’s youngest royal.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t make the cut, so who did? As with Princess Charlotte’s christening, William and Kate have selected close, non-royal friends and relatives. While BBC reports the Queen will be absent from the ceremony, all six newly-appointed godparents to the 11-week-old Prince Louis will be in attendance. Here’s a rundown of who they are.

Mr. Nicholas van Custem

Nicholas van Custem is an international businessman based in London, and Prince William’s close childhood friend. Nicholas’s daughter, Florence, was a bridesmaid at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May, and Prince William is godfather to Grace van Custem, Nicholas’s niece who adorably covered her ears at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding in 2011.

Mr. Guy Pelly

Guy Pelly is a nightclub owner and has maintained a close friendship with Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry for years. Pelly met the princes on the Beaufort Hunt, and the Daily Mail reports that Pelly planned Prince William’s “stag do” (a British colloquial term for a bachelor party). Pelly’s mother, Lady Carolyn Herbert, was friends with Princess Diana prior to her death.

Mr. Harry Aubrey-Fletcher

Harry Aubrey-Fletcher is the son of Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, the 8th Baronet and Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire. Harry met Prince William at Ludgrove School in Berkshire, where the two then continued their education at Eton. Prince William was an usher at Harry Aubrey-Fletcher’s wedding in 2011, just three months before his own wedding to Kate Middleton.

The Lady Laura Meade

Laura Meade is married to Prince William’s close friend, James Meade, who is godfather to Princess Charlotte. Laura’s family home, Gayton Hall, is in Norfolk in close proximity to Anmer Hall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s former home. Lady Laura Meade is reported to have formed a close bond with the Duchess of Sussex during her residency at Anmer Hall, and recently attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May.

Mrs. Robert Carter

Hannah Gillingham, formally known as Mrs. Robert Carter, studied with the Duchess of Cambridge at Marlborough College. The two are said to have played on the same sports teams and studied together often. Gillingham married Robert Carter in April 2012, just one day after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first wedding anniversary.

Miss Lucy Middleton

Miss Lucy Middleton is the Duchess of Cambridge’s cousin, and works as a solicitor (a British term equating to a lawyer) in London. Lucy is the only blood relative to serve as godparent to Prince Louis, and comes from Kate’s paternal side.

Prince Louis will be christened this afternoon by the Archbishop of Cantebury Justin Welby at The Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace.
