MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry visited Edinburgh yesterday, for the Suits actresses first trip to Scotland. Expert royal watchers will notice how Meghan took another leaf out of Kate Middleton’s style rulebook for the trip.
Meghan Markle, 36, has been taking the UK by storm on her official trips around the country with fiance Prince Harry, 33.
The former Suits actress arrived in Edinburgh, Scotland, yesterday.
She and her royal fiance met the public, as well as visiting a charity and later attending Holyroodhouse.
However, eagle-eyed royal fans will realise that Meghan Markle copied Kate Middleton when it came to her look for the visit.
Meghan Markle’s tartan coat was a Burberry piece.

The actress gave a nod to her surroundings, choosing the chic tartan patterned coat, which is currently on Net-a-porter for £1,995.
Featuring dark blue and green, the double-breasted coat came down past her knees.

She also wore a bag from a Scottish designer, opting for the Strathberry East/West mini bag, £395.

Kate Middleton has worn tartan on the numerous occasions she has visit Scotland.
In 2013 she visited Glasgow to see the Emirates Arena.
She wore a grey and navy blue tartan coat to the event.
During the same trip, she also visited St Andrew’s School to unveil a plaque to open a new artificial turf playing field.

She wore a navy green and blue dress with an almost identical print to Meghan’s Burberry coat.
She wore a plain black polo top and black trousers, which could be seen underneath the coat.
Meghan finished the look off with a pair of black suede stiletto boots.

Her hair was worn loosely over her shoulders in a slightly waved effect.
