PRINCE Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, are poised to implement “major damage control” following the publication of a new book, it is claimed.

The Sussexes sent shockwaves around the world in their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey last year. And now a source claims the couple would consider another major interview in response to ‘The Palace Papers’ by former Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown. The source told Heat they would “come out fighting” by implementing “major damage control”. The news comes as body language expert analysed Prince William’s behaviour at the State Opening of Parliament, where he cut a “sombre” figure after the Queen was forced to pull out. Judi James told the Mirror: “He walked with his hands clasped like this, suggesting a lowering of his own status and presence. His facial expression suggested sadness and regret.”

Princess Anne has been tipped for a major role amid mounting fears over the Queen’s health.

Writing on Twitter, royal commentator Phil Dampier said that Anne “should be made a counsellor of state immediately.”

Counsellors of State are authorised to carry out most of the official duties of the Sovereign, for example, attending Privy Council meetings, signing routine documents and receiving the credentials of new ambassadors to the United Kingdom.
