Princess Charlotte shows she’s just like uncle Prince Harry as she sticks out tongue
Princess Charlotte showed she has inherited Prince Harry’s naughty side as she cheekily stuck her tongue out to photographers at the Royal Wedding before the new Duke of Sussex married Meghan Markle.
The three-year-old princess made the gesture as she arrived in a vintage Rolls Royce at St George’s Chapel to perform her duties as a bridesmaid for her uncle and auntie Meghan.
Princess Charlotte let her mischievous side show only for a brief moment on her uncle’s big day, and was poised as she made her way into the chapel, after being guided to the entrance with her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge.
The endearing break from formality echoed of Prince Harry, who was photographed pulling the same stunt several times as a child.
Back in his mischievous toddler days, the young prince would make silly faces as he posed for cameras.
Photographers captured a sweet moment as now Duke of Sussex stuck his tongue out in the arms of his mother Princess Diana, at the Trooping The Colour as a child.
He showed his cheeky side to the cameras again as pageboy at the wedding of his uncle, Earl Charles Spencer, in 1989.
The princess wore an ivory silk dress with little puffed sleeves from Givenchy Haute Couture Atelier, hand-finished with a double silk ribbon tied in a bow at the back.
Along with her five fellow bridesmaids, she wore leather Aquazurra shoes monogrammed with her initials and the wedding date as a keepsake for the special day.
The adorable look was completed with a flower crown, which featured white roses and peonies.
Despite showing off her cheeky side upon her arrival, the princess was the perfect bridesmaid throughout the rest of the royal wedding, and stayed close to her mother’s side, finishing the ceremony by gracing the crowd with her perfect royal wave.
The stunning ceremony was held in front of 600 guests on the grounds of Windsor Castle, and featured a heartwarming rendition of ‘Stand by Me’ performed by Karen Gibson and the Kingdom Choir.
The newly married couple were cheered on by thousands of eager spectators as they embarked on a horse-led carriage procession through Windsor following the service.
The wedding celebrations ended with a black-tie meal and fireworks display at Frogmore House, near Windsor Castle, which was hosted by Prince Charles.
The Duchess changed into an elegant Stella McCartney gown for the event.
The Royal Family’s twitter account tweeted: “Thank you to everyone who came to Windsor and those who followed from around the UK, the Commonwealth, and the world today.
“Congratulations once again to the newly-married Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
