‘Yer a wizard, Harry.’
It turns out not even royalty are impervious to the charms of The Boy That Lived. Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, revealed in a recent conversation that her five grandchildren enjoy a bit of Harry Potter – and that Charles is a fantastic storyteller who leaves them ‘spellbound’.

Camilla turns 70 years old today (happy birthday!) and in the lead-up to the celebration, she opened up to the Daily Mail about her private life within the royal family. The Duchess revealed at a child literacy event that Prince Charles would read to his five step-grandchildren whenever they were together and it seems like there’s a future in kids’ party entertainment if the whole royalty thing doesn’t work out.

She said, ‘Sometimes, when we are with my husband in Scotland, he reads them Harry Potter. And he does all the voices, because he is a brilliant mimic. I’m not very good. I try to do the voices, but acting isn’t my forte. But he sits down and they all sit with him. I always think they are going to be wriggling around in the bed, but they sit spellbound.’
