Fears of royal ‘breaking point’ as more Harry and Meghan interviews would be ‘no surprise’

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry could “push the royals to breaking point” if they conduct another high-profile interview, according to claims made by a royal biographer.

Following his wife’s allegation, Harry said: “That conversation, I am never going to share.

“At the time, it was awkward, I was a bit shocked.”

Last week, Meghan took part in her second US chat show interview since moving to California, this time with Ellen Degeneres.

In her sit-down with Ellen, Meghan discussed her family’s plans for Thanksgiving and also revealed the adorable Halloween costumes she had for Archie, now two, and Lilibet, who was born in June.

She said: “Archie was a dinosaur for maybe five minutes.”

She added that her five-month daughter Lili was a “little skunk, like Flower from Bambi”.

Royal expert and biographer Duncan Larcombe has claimed that this possibly would not be the last high-profile interview for the pair.Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

He told Closer magazine: “I really wouldn’t be surprised if they’re planning another Oprah interview.

“Harry and Meghan have caused chaos and I suspect there’s no stopping them.

“I can totally see more of these high-profile, Hollywood-style interviews with A-list TV hosts happening.

He added: “Another Oprah interview, if it’s anything like the last, would surely push the royals to breaking point.”

Mr Larcombe noted that it could coincide with any promotional activity carried out by Harry ahead of the publication of his memoirs, scheduled for Autumn 2022.

When announcing the book in July, Duke of Sussex said he would reflect on “the highs and lows” of his life and it would be “accurate and wholly truthful”.

The release of the book comes amid the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and Her Majesty will be the first British Monarch to celebrate seventy years of service.

As extended bank holiday running from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June, has been allocated to provide an opportunity for the British public to enjoy “public events and community activities” as part of the celebrations.

To commemorate the occasion, the Queen will also award Platinum Jubilee medals to some members of the Royal Family.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that the monarch will award the medals to a number of her relatives including those who no longer or have never undertaken official engagements on her behalf.

Among those expected to receive the award are Prince Andrew, his daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and also Meghan and Harry.
