REVEALED: Queen sends sweet message to Meghan Markle on her birthday
THE Queen has paid tribute to the Duchess of Sussex on her birthday.
Meghan Markle celebrated her 37th birthday yesterday at the wedding of Prince Harry’s pal Charlie van Straubenzee.
And social media was filled with celebrity posts and sweet messages for the new royal.
But there was one particularly special Instagram post from the Monarch.
Known to be the Queen’s official page, the Royal Family account posted a sweet snap of the pair doing their first official event together.
“Happy Birthday to HRH The Duchess of Sussex! #HappyBirthdayHRH,” the post read, prompting thousands of comments from royal-watchers.
“Happy birthday Meghan! We love you so much,” one wrote, while another said: “Happy birthday beauty, by watching you live you taught me a lot. Continue to be inspirational. Love you so much.”
The image shows the Queen smiling ear to ear with Meghan at their first solo outing together.
Less than a month after the royal wedding, they took the royal train overnight and attended a bridge opening in Cheshire.
Prince Charles and Camilla also posted a sweet snap to mark Meghan’s first birthday as a royal.

The image from Clarence House shows the three of them smiling together at Meghan’s debut as a royal on May 22, three days after her wedding.
The occasion was a garden party and early celebration of Prince Charles’ 70th birthday.
And Kensington Palace, where Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton live, thanked fans on the birthday girl’s behalf.
Meghan spent her first birthday as a member of the royal family seeing van Straubenzee and his bride Daisy Jenks tie the knot.
