The Princess Royal has continued to show her dedication to the Firm following her mother, Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
The King has been asked to find a “special way” to honour Anne for her commitment to the Queen.
Journalist Alastair Stewart said that Anne, alongside her sister-in-law Sophie Wessex, should be honoured for their “love, constancy and support at this difficult time”.
The GB News presenter tweeted on Monday, September 12: “I hope the King finds some very special way of further honouring the Princess Royal and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, for their love, constancy and support at this difficult time.”
Overall, some 7,346 readers responded, with “yes” winning by a landslide 98 percent (7,195 people).
Whereas, two percent (130 people) answered “no”, Anne should not be given a special honour.
Meanwhile, just 21 people said they did not know either way.

Meanwhile, some readers praised Anne’s character, with username Shooks54 writing: “Definitely, she’s amazing, just gets on with it and never complains.”

In her column for the Telegraph, Camilla Tominey, referenced a former royal aide who said: “I don’t think anything will change for the Princess at all. She doesn’t need to do any stepping up, she’s already done that.
“I don’t think there will be any change in her status or titles and she’s never indicated that she wants to slow down.”
They added: “She’s a workaholic and incredibly well respected by her charities and patronages, so she’ll surely just keep calm and carry on.”
