Charles ‘deeply concerned’ for George, Charlotte and Louis as he issues ominous warning

PRINCE CHARLES has issued an ominous warning, saying recent crises have left him “deeply concerned” for his grandchildren.

The Prince of Wales, following wildfires that ravaged Greece, repeated calls for businesses to act on climate change. Charles has previously said he is concerned about how the next generation, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will suffer from climate catastrophe.

Noting the COP26 conference in November, the Prince of Wales said he is concerned for his children and grandchildren.

He said: ”This is why COP26 is so crucially important for our very survival on this increasingly over-heating planet – something our children and grandchildren are rightly and deeply concerned about.

“The ‘coalition of the willing’ joins me in hoping that the conference will deliver the transformational decisions and the roadmap for change for which our planet is crying out.”

Writing for the Daily Mail said there is “no alternative” and businesses must now do more.

He wrote: “We have to do all we possibly can in the short time left to us to avoid the enormous climate catastrophe that has already begun to show its face in the most terrifying ways, most recently in the Mediterranean.

“World leaders, working closely with the private sector, have the power to make the difference.

“COP26 affords them an opportunity to do so before it is finally too late.”

In February, Charles also backed a Government review by economist Partha Dasgupta, which called for understanding how economies are negatively affecting the environment.

He said at the time in an online discussion through the Royal Society: “We have a duty of care for this planet that is absolute.

“We know day by day, we are rapidly destroying the fabric of the natural world for ourselves, for our children and grandchildren, and testing this planet to disruption…

“It is sheer madness to continue on this path. Sir Partha Dasgupta’s seminal review is a call to action that we must heed, for ladies and gentlemen, it falls on our watch and we must not fail.”

It comes after royal expert Katie Nicholl suggested Prince William’s climate change prize inspired by J.F.K will be his lasting legacy.

Speaking to True Royalty TV, Ms Nicholl explained that Prince William’s Earthshot Prize is the project that will define the future King.

She said: “William’s legacy, which is inspired by [President] Kennedy’s Moonshot prize…

“Will try to find solutions to basically fix our planet.

“So that becomes the legacy for the future King.”
