Catherine Duchess of Cambridge Shushes Her Kids at Pippa Middleton’s Wedding—Proving She Really Is a Normal Mom
Pippa Middleton married James Matthews at St. Mark’s Church in Berkshire, England.
The bride shone in a custom-made Giles Deacon gown and floor-length cathedral veil. Kate Middleton, the bride’s older sister, wore a pale pink Alexander McQueen dress for the occasion. And while the Duchess of Cambridge herself was not a member of the bridal party, she certainly had her work cut out for her. As sister-of-the-bride, Kate was never too far from Pippa’s side, and could be seen smoothing her sister’s gown as she entered the church.
But her more hands-on duty was perhaps helping to corral the page boys and little bridesmaids. Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Kate’s two children, were indeed part of this adorable pink- and white-clad gaggle. As the group entered the church, it was indeed a chatty moment. After all, the wedding processional had officially begun, and the bride was about to walk down the aisle. But to stem the chitter-chatter of the toddler clan, Kate Middleton adroitly shushed her children, and presumably the other kids around them. A loyal sister, yes, but also doing what every experienced mom would do. So can we finally say that Kate Middleton is in many ways a normal mother? Indeed it seems we can.
