Camilla Parker Bowles was ‘horrified’ at William and Charles’ ‘earth-shattering row’

CAMILLA PARKER BOWLES was left “horrified” after Prince William and Prince Charles’ “ranting and raving”, a royal author claimed.

A royal source told Fabulous Digital that Charles found Buckingham Palace “too big, too impersonal, and far too costly to run for what is basically a royal admin centre.”

It would appear Prince William has also held Charles to account in previous discussions, as highlighted by Robert Lacey in his 2020 book ‘Battle of Brothers’.

After Camilla Parker Bowles married Charles in 2005, she was taken back by William’s “temper”, the author claimed.

He wrote: “Harry has freely confessed to his own blazing temper from time to time – and as for his elder brother he has proved no sweet William when roused.

“In the years after her 2005 marriage to Prince Charles, Camilla has recounted to her own family and close friends her surprise at discovering this unexpected side to Prince Charming – ‘the boy’s got a temper!’

“Charles’s wife had been horrified at the ranting and raving that on occasion William had unleashed against her husband in her presence.”

The author claims: “The rows have been earth-shattering by Camilla’s account, with William doing the shouting and Charles submitting meekly on the receiving end.”

According to Mr Lacey, William “holds nothing back” when he is voicing his opinion with his father.

While Charles is next in line to the throne, many experts think he could abdicate and hand the crown to William.

Experts at University College London’s Constitution Unit said in June that while it is “a matter for Prince Charles, and for Parliament”, they believe that the Queen will not abdicate and will serve ‘”for her whole life.”

They said: “Having waited over 60 years as heir apparent, it would be perfectly natural for Prince Charles to want to assume the throne and perform the royal duties for which he has spent so long preparing in waiting.

“But it would be equally natural if, after reigning for a few years as an increasingly elderly monarch, he chose to invite Parliament to hand on the throne to Prince William.”

Princess Diana’s former voice coach, Stewart Pearce, told The Sun that Charles may step aside for William to become king.

Pearce also said William has been “part of the conversation” about the succession plan since he was 11 or 12 years old.

Prince Charles is reportedly very keen to slim down the monarchy, leaving key roles only for those at the centre of The Firm.

It is believed he wants to assemble a team of seven senior royals to cut costs and boost the monarchy’s popularity with the taxpayer.

Royal biographer Angela Levin told talkRADIO this year that this is certainly the plan for the Prince of Wales.

She said he has wanted to trim down the monarchy “for a very long time” in order to “save costs and make people be worth the money that they get from the taxpayer”.
