CAMILLA, the Duchess of Cornwall’s engagement ring is one of the most valuable in the Royal Family for a very special reason.
Camilla’s engagement ring once belonged to Queen Elizabeth, Charles’ grandmother, and is a priceless family heirloom.
Photographs taken during the mid-1980s show Elizabeth donning the stunning jewel at an evening event.
The platinum art-deco style design features a five-carat emerald-cut diamond at its centre with additional diamond baguettes on the sides.
But the ring was not Elizabeth’s engagement ring from King George VI., and it is unknown where she acquired the now-famous heirloom.

Ms Money, vice-president of strategy and merchandising at Brilliant Earth, estimated that Camilla’s historic ring would cost between £54,000 to £78,000.
But she added that since the ring belonged to Elizabeth, “it is priceless due to its cultural significance.”
Deborah Papas, a gemologist from Prestige Pawnbrokers, also told the Metro that the iconic ring would cost more because of it’s history.
She estimated that it would cost around a staggering £220,000.

It’s not Camilla’s only Royal Family heirloom, with the Duchess of Cornwall having many jewellery pieces from the Queen Mother’s collection
Camilla is known for wearing the Greville Tiara, also passed down from Elizabeth.
It is one of the most expensive pieces of jewellery in the Royal Family, with an estimated value up to £3 million.
Earlier this year, when meeting French president Emmanuel Macron, Camilla wore special three-stranded pearl necklace for the royal event.
Meghan’s engagement ring from Prince Harry was estimated to cost upward of £93,000.
Despite not coming from Elizabeth’s collection, it also has a special connection to the Royal Family.
Designed by Harry himself, the diamonds in the ring came from Princess Diana’s personal collection.
Prince William’s engagement ring for Kate was also linked to Diana, where it was originally selected by the Princess of Wales after accepting Charles’ proposal.

In reply, Camilla said: “Dear Milan, Thank you for your lovely card and for telling me the exciting news that you have been nominated Bolton’s Lockdown Reading Hero!
“That is absolutely wonderful and I do hope you are proud of yourself. Keep up the good work!”
