THE DUCHESS of Cornwall has admitted that she is still struggling to “shake off” coronavirus having contracted the disease last month.
“Probably my voice might suddenly go, and I might start coughing and spluttering.”
The Duchess contracted the illness last month just days after her husband, Prince Charles had tested for the second time.
In December, the Royal couple confirmed that they had received booster vaccines.
In a statement they encouraged members of the public to do the same.
They said: “We can only urge you to look at the evidence in our intensive care wards.
“People who are unvaccinated are at least 10 times more likely to be hospitalised or die than those who have had two vaccine doses.”
The Duchess was meeting three transatlantic rowers Kat Cordiner, 41, Abby Johnston, 32, and Charlotte Irving, 32.
The trio rowed across the Atlantic in 42 days, seven hours and 42 minutes in January.
They raised money for Macmillan, Cancer Research UK and Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Their choices were influenced by the fact that Kat is suffering from cervical cancer.
They described their journey in a 30-minute talk to the Duchess revealing that they suffered from cramps during the trip.
