Royal family ‘FUED’: Claims of growing row over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle roles
ROYAL aides are at-odds with each other over the changing roles within the family, it has been claimed.
Dickie Arbiter, the Queen’s former press secretary said there will most likely be arguments as the Queen and Prince Philip step down from many duties.
The 91-year-old monarch and her husband are taking less prominent roles in terms of attending public events.
Her Majesty has even asked Prince Charles to fill in for her at an upcoming Remembrance Sunday service – what will be the first time in recent history a monarch has not lain a wreath.
But Mr Arbiter has said this stepping down from duties is due to cause friction.
“I don’t think there is a conflict behind the scenes as far as the main players (the royals) are concerned… but there probably is a conflict between the people who are organising them,” he told Sky News.
He went on: ”There’s a tendency for people who join the royal households to get a bit of red carpet fever, feel a bit more important than they should do and don’t get on with the job properly.
“So there is a conflict of interest, a personality clash amongst each other, and that is not good.”
His warning comes as younger members of the family step into the limelight.

All eyes have been on Prince Harry and his stunning girlfriend Meghan Markle, with the couple widely expected to announce their engagement this year.
Harry and Meghan made their first public appearance last month at the Invictus Games.
Prince William and Kate have also been seen at numerous public events over the past year as royal representatives.
This summer, rumours of tension within the royal household emerged when the Queen’s private secretary and senior adviser Sir Christopher Geidt stepped down from his position.
He is rumoured to have clashed with Prince Charles, who eventually drummed him out of the fold.
