The once-close brothers have been at the centre of an ongoing rift.

The Waleses and the Sussexes reunited for a walkabout outside Windsor Castle earlier this month to view floral tributes to the Queen and greet well-wishers.

But an insider has claimed the royals – once dubbed the Fab Four – “found it hard” but went through with it for the late monarch.

The source told US magazine People: “It was awkward. Both couples found it hard. They were in a stoic spirit of just getting through it for the Queen.”

It comes as brothers William and Harry have been embroiled in an ongoing rift, while Meghan claimed during her Oprah Winfrey interview that Kate made her cry ahead of her royal wedding following previous reports it was the other way round.

The Queen agreed to pay income and capital gains tax in 1993 but bequests from sovereign to successor are exempt from the inheritance levy.

Nearly two-in-three Brits believe King Charles III should pay tax on his private inheritance, an opinion poll has revealed.

YouGov’s survey, which was conducted between September 15 and 16, claimed 63 percent of the public believe Charles should pay inheritance tax.

A further 16 percent said the King should not pay inheritance tax, while 21 percent indicated they did not know.

‘Outstanding!’ Supernanny praises George and Charlotte for attending Queen’s funeral

Prince George, nine, and Princess Charlotte, seven, joined other members of the Royal Family at Westminster Abbey for the Queen’s state funeral on Monday.

Supernanny Jo Frost has praised Prince George and Princess Charlotte after the pair attended the Queen’s state funeral on Monday.

Jo Frost, 52, who was known for her role in the hit reality TV series Supernanny from 2004 to 2008, complimented the Prince and Princess of Wales’ two eldest children after they attended their great-grandmother’s funeral.

However, George and Charlotte previously delighted fans during the late monarch’s Platinum Jubilee earlier this year.

Supernanny even claimed that the eldest pair’s “stamina and orderly conduct” in June turned out to be training for the state funeral.

Queen’s devoted staff facing job axe as King Charles ascends to throne

Around 20 members of staff have been contacted by the Keeper of the Privy Purse over the future of their employment.

A number of the Queen’s staff, including her female dressers, a gardener and the man responsible for stoking the fires at the Palace may be in danger of losing their jobs.

The monarchy are seeing a number of changes since the accession of King Charles as he is likely to move from Clarence House into Buckingham Palace.

Approximately 20 staff were contacted by Sir Michael Stevens, Keeper of the Privy Purse, before Monday’s state funeral.

They are now reportedly having meetings with their union out of fear for their jobs.

‘By nature quite a frugal person’ King Charles set to plan ‘low carbon’ coronation

King Charles is planning a smaller coronation than Queen Elizabeth’s coronation in 1953.

King Charles is planning to keep a “balancing act” between keeping the carbon footprint of the event down and keeping with royal protocol, according to royal sources reported by the Telegraph.

The date for the coronation is yet to be announced by Buckingham Palace but is expected to be in May or June next year.

A source close to the King has said he would not wish to turn his coronation into an international event like Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, in which many private flights came to London.

Camilla tipped to encourage ‘workaholic’ King Charles III into new relaxing activity

Camilla, the Queen Consort, will encourage “workaholic” King Charles III to take on a new activity to unwind from royal duties, it has been suggested.

King Charles III, famously a “workaholic”, will likely have to be encouraged by Camilla, his wife of 17 years, to enjoy some down time.

That’s according to royal expert and author Angela Levin, who believes the Queen Consort will “encourage” the new monarch to go on walks as a form of downtime from his busy royal duties.

Speaking to Sky News’ Kay Burley, Ms Levin claimed that Charles is “the last person to want to relax or take it easy”.

Camilla ‘spluttered into her tea’ over Prince Harry’s suggestion about healing rift

The Duke of Sussex has previously laid bare rifts with his father and older brother.

Camilla was left “spluttering into her tea” over a suggestion by Prince Harry to heal the royal rift, it has been claimed.

The Duke of Sussex made a whistle-stop visit to Britain with Meghan Markle in April on the way to the Invictus Games in The Hague where he met his grandmother the late Queen and his father King Charles at Windsor Castle.

Royal author Katie Nicholl claimed there were “moments of tension” in the Sussexes’ 15-minute meeting with Charles and Camilla, who is now Queen Consort.

Queen honoured at ‘moving’ thanksgiving service in Washington National Cathedral

The National Cathedral in Washington has hosted four state funerals for former Presidents Dwight D Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford and George HW Bush.

A “moving” Thanksgiving service was organised at Washington’s National Cathedral to honour the life of the Queen, who passed away earlier this month at the age of 96.

The service was attended by the US vice-president Kamala Harris along with second gentleman Doug Emhoff and the House speaker, Nancy Pelosi with the other Democrats who came forward to remember the British longest-reigning monarch.

The service was co-hosted by the British Embassy and also featured the UK’s national anthem, “God Save the King,” as well as the US’ “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Gayle King shares update on Meghan and Harry’s rift with royals

Gayle King has shared an update on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s rift with the Royal Family.

The US presenter told Extra: “There have been efforts on both sides to sort of make this right. We shall see. Big families always go through drama, always go through turmoil.

“It remains to be seen. Are they going to be drawn closer together or are they going to be drawn apart?

“I have no idea. I have no inside information on that. But I will tell you this: it was good to see Harry standing with his family.”

George and Charlotte’s bond compared to Charles and Anne

Prince George and Princess Charlotte have been compared by royal commentators to King Charles and Princess Anne.

Speaking on the latest episode of Royally Us, hosts Christine Ross and Christina Garibaldi discussed the “parallels” between the two pairs of siblings.

Ms Ross said: “What I really liked was there were so many parallels comparing George and Charlotte supporting each other in this time, as Charles and Anne supported each other throughout so much history.

“Even in the last few days, seeing Princess Anne and the, now, King Charles, their interactions and the way Princess Anne supports King Charles and his new role is really moving.”

Camilla was left “spluttering into her tea” over a suggestion by Prince Harry to heal the royal rift, it has been claimed.

The Duke of Sussex made a whistle-stop visit to Britain with Meghan Markle in April on the way to the Invictus Games in The Hague where he met his father King Charles and his wife Camilla at Windsor Castle.

Royal author Katie Nicholl claimed there were “moments of tension” in the Sussexes’ 15-minute meeting with Charles and Camilla, who is now Queen Consort.

In an excerpt of her book The New Royals, reported in Vanity Fair, Ms Nicholl cited a family friend as saying Harry – who has a fractured relationship with his father and older brother Prince William – suggested using a mediator in a bid to resolve their differences.

The source said: “Harry went in with hugs and the best of intentions and said he wanted to clear the air.

“He actually suggested that they use a mediator to try and sort things out, which had Charles somewhat bemused and Camilla spluttering into her tea.

“She told Harry it was ridiculous and that they were a family and would sort it out between themselves.”
