Blooming Kate shows no signs of stopping despite William warning birth is ‘ANY MINUTE NOW’

KATE Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has appeared at the Royal Society of Medicine for a symposium of leading academics and charities championing early intervention into the lives of children.

A beaming Kate arrvied at the Royal Society of Medicine, in central London wearing a bespoke Jenny Packham mint green coat and matching dress with praline Gianvito Rossi pumps.

Kate’s Royal Foundation organised the event and the Duchess heard from leading academics, Simon Wessely and Alain Gregoire as well as Professor Jane Barlow, NCCF CEO Anna Freud and Peter Fonagy on perinatal, maternal and infant Mental Health and the importance of supporting parents.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who is around eight months pregnant with her third child to Prince William, has a strong interest in the issue of providing a solid social and emotional platform for youngsters at the start of their lives.

Her curiosity about the subject was triggered from her interest in issues like addiction, the effects of family breakdown, and her visits to charities and support organisations.

Kate has been struck time again that so many of society’s greatest social and health challenges often stem from problems that start to manifest themselves in the earliest years of life.

The event brought together academics, researchers, practitioners, educators and charities to explore issues such as perinatal, maternal and infant mental health, parenting support and advice, and resources for schools and educators.

The Duchess has been exploring these issues on an individual basis through a number of engagements and roundtable discussions in recent months.

Kate gave a small speech at the symposium drawing these strands together as she explored the potential for an integrated strategy on early intervention with the experts.

The Duchess so far appears to show no signs of slowing down despite the newest royal baby being due next month.

Kate’s latest appearance comes as Prince William revealed to Ringo Starr the Duchess is due “any minute now”.

Kate has kept her royal schedule busy and last week attended the Commonwealth Day service in Westminster Abbey followed by a meeting with Judy Murray, Tim Henman and Wimbledon officials to discuss children’s tennis initiatives in the UK the next day.

Over the weekend the Kate showed off her blossoming bump at the annual St Patrick’s Day parade at the 1st Battalion’s base in Hounslow, west London, where William is Colonel of the regiment.

She will also accompany William in celebrating the Commonwealth as they meet athletes aiming to compete in the Games next month in Australia tomorrow.
