Is this Prince William’s secret pet name for Kate Middleton?
Prince William recently revealed how he calls Kate Middleton by her full name, Catherine, but he also has a pet name for her too.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have recently been touring Europe with their two children, George and Charlotte.
The tour showed them as a strong family unit, with many photos proving their six years of happy marriage.
In interviews, Prince William regularly refers to his wife as her full name, “Catherine”.
Yet he also might have a pet name for her that many may not know.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s nickname at her old school was actually “Squeak.”
Having attended St Andrews in Berkshire, she was regularly called it by her fellow pupils.
According to friends, this was also the name of the guinea pig at the school.
It emerged that her sister was fittingly called Pip which was the name of the other animal, hence the two names of “Pip” and “Squeak”.
However, she reportedly shed the nickname before hitting university, where she went on to meet Prince William.
This was when she decided she wanted to be called Kate by her peers and friends.
Yet he does have his own little monikers for her.
He is regularly heard calling her “poppet” in public.
Their relationship has flourished over the years, something proven to have been strong from the beginning.
A body language expert revealed what it showed from their engagement announcement.
Judi James, a body language expert stated: “Kate retains a much more adult demeanour and I believe that has been one of the great strengths of their relationship.
“Despite the lack of touch between the two you can see the love written all over William’s facial expressions.”
