ZARA TINDALL is well known as an accomplished equestrian eventer – but Princess Anne’s daughter revealed a surprising secret talent, according to a royal expert.
Zara Tindall has become a firm favourite among royal watchers alongside her husband, ex-rugby star Mike. This summer the pair even made the Queen dissolve into giggles when Mike presented Her Majesty with a miniature top hat, hidden beneath his own race-day topper. However, the accomplished horsewoman appears to have a surprising talent that has not been revealed to the public, according to a royal commentator.
Podcast “Royals”, from Australian magazine New Idea, heard from Angela Mollard in an episode which first aired in July.
Host Zoe Burrell asked: “It turns out one member of the Royal Family has a secret talent that we knew nothing about?”
Ms Mollard said: “Yes, who knew?
“This is Zara Tindall, she’s been at a golfing event with her husband Mike.”

She added: “I think this couple are the best royals!”
“Apparently at all the royal events Mike Tindall is the comedian.
“He’s a great dad, he’s always rollicking with his daughters.
“They really are just Mr and Mrs Ordinary, they don’t have titles.
“Anyway, they turn up, there’s a dinner that evening, and there’s karaoke.
“And Zara gets up there!
“It’s the Paul Simon song, ‘You Can Call Me Al’.
“She was absolutely word perfect, pitch perfect.
“That’s a hard song to manage, I reckon!”

Ms Mollard continued: “I love the way they are free of that constant spotlight, and they use their royalty for good.
“She’s spoken a lot in the past about the miscarriages she had between her two daughters and how that’s affected them.
“I really like them.
“She’s amazing, horsewoman, mum and now singer!”

Royal expert Russell Myers, speaking podcast Pod Save the Queen, also claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would like to emulate the more low-key Tindalls.
He said: “Certainly, Harry would like to be more like Zara and Mike, and have that freedom.
“But unfortunately he is related to the heir, he is the son of the future King.
“The problem is, you can’t have one foot in and one foot out, and this is the issue that’s being debated at the moment.”
Zara and Mike support themselves from their careers as professional athletes, rather than receiving any royal funding.
The pair live near Princess Anne on her privately-funded estate, Gatcombe Park.
This month their daughters Mia and Lena have been spotted with their grandmother Princess Anne having a fun family day out at the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe.
