If Kate has twins, what happens to the line of succession?
Before Kate gave birth to George the royal’s changed their attitude to succession. Initially, the male child would always take priority in the lineage, even if the firstborn was female.
However, this is now no longer the case and the firstborn child, whether male or female, is the first in line.
So if Kate has twins, whichever one makes it out first will have a claim to the throne before the other does.
