PRINCE HARRY quoted his wife Meghan Markle in an emotional video message dedicated to youngsters supported by one of his patronages.
Prince Harry praised young Britons supported by one of his beloved patronages, the Onside Youth Zones, “for surviving but also for thriving” in a video message shared from his home in Los Angeles. The Duke of Sussex filmed a brief clip to introduce the broadcasting on YouTube of the OnSide Awards ceremony he attended in mid-November last year.
In the video, Prince Harry recalled the awards taking place in mid-November – the last royal engagement he took part in before starting a six-week break in Canada with his family.
Recalling the people he met and stories he heard at the London ceremony, the Duke of Sussex renewed his praises for the youngsters supported by the OnSide Youth Zones association.
He said: “Hi guys, just a few months ago we were all together at the OnSide Youth Zones Awards and wow, what a night that was.
“I remember meeting so many incredible people and hearing your stories, stories of strength, determination, resilience – but ultimately, of courage.

“And as I have said you on that night, and I will repeat it again, hats off to every single one of you for surviving, but also for thriving.”
This praise echoes the words pronounced by Meghan during her interview with Tom Bradby broadcasted as part of the documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.
Opening up on the struggles of constantly being under the public scrutiny, the Duchess of Sussex told the ITV journalist: “I’ve said for a long time to H—that’s what I call him—it’s not enough to just survive something, right?

“That’s not the point of life.
“You’ve got to thrive, you’ve got to feel happy.”
In his heartfelt video, Prince Harry acknowledged how the challenges of the youngsters supported by the OnSide Youth Zones have become even harsher due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the prince looks sure even this crisis will pass and will leave the OnSide family stronger than ever.

He said: “These stories and these challenges, these daily challenges you guys are coming up against are unbelievable, and so many people would never understand, but you guys have the strength to pull through.
“And you have the support of the OnSide community, the OnSide family, to help you through that process.
“I can only imagine the last six weeks have made it even more challenging.
“This too shall pass and before you know it you’ll be back together again, probably in a Youth Zone running around having the best time ever.

“So enjoy this link, it is a repeat of the award ceremony, of the all evening, so for those of you who have seen it already – enjoy.
“For those of you who weren’t able to make it – also enjoy!
“I am hugely honoured and privileged to be part of the OnSide community, so have fun, I look forward to seeing you guys soon, and soak up the positivity of this night because it really was amazing.”
In the video, Prince Harry looked in his spirits and wore a casual black shirt while sitting in front of a beige wall.
