What food will be served at the royal wedding? Meghan and Harry to copy Kate & William caterer

ROYAL WEDDING: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding day is just around the corner, but what food will they serve? It is believed they will use the same caterer as Kate Middleton and Prince William.

The royal wedding of Meghan Markle, 36, and Prince Harry, 33, will take place on May 19 2018, but what food will be served on the big day?

The couple will be using Blue Strawberry Table Talk catering company, formerly known as simply Table Talk, an insider has confirmed exclusively to Express.co.uk.

This is the same company who catered for the wedding of Kate Middleton, 36, and Prince William, 35, in 2011.

So what food will be served? It is said the gourmet delights will begin at the wedding reception in St. George’s Hall.

The inside scoop is that the reception food will consist of canapes, including “sausage rolls, tartlets and mini crosque monsieur”.

Salmon and caviar will also be on the menu for wedding guests, revealed the insider.

As for the main sit down meal, the menu is still to be confirmed.

However, the insider has revealed a very special luxury food will be included: lobster.

It has also been previously revealed to Express.co.uk there will be royal wedding food vans at 2am.

The ice creams vans will park outside Frogmore House where a late night disco is being held.

Bacon sandwiches will be served to party guests, in addition to soup.

While the main menu for the dinner reception is unknown, it is likely the couple will take inspiration from Prince William and Kate.

The three course meal at this part of the wedding consisted of salmon followed by lamb.

Dessert was a trio of sweet treats: honey flavoured ice cream, sherry trifle and chocolate parfait.

Finally, as Meghan used to run a now-deleted lifestyle website called The Tig after a type of red wine Tignanello, it is likely this will make it on to the drinks menu.

Who from Meghan Markle’s family will attend the royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel?

While a Kensington Palace statement last week confirmed Meghan’s parents will be attending, there was no mention of any other family members who are invited from America.

It would appear Meghan has decided to exclude most of her family from the wedding – despite advice to the contrary from royal officials, according to an insider.

“I understand she doesn’t get on with a lot of her extended family,” the insider told Express exclusively.

“That’s why she didn’t want to invite them to the wedding,” the source added.
