PRINCESS DIANA once shared a heartbreaking moment with her future husband following the death of one loved Royal Family member.
The relationship between the two was one of the most scrutinised during its time as Diana became one of the most loved figures in the world. Despite some of media speculation over their marriage, the pair once celebrated an incredibly touching moment following the death of Louis Mountbatten, the first Earl of Mountbatten of Burma. Writing in his book, ‘Diana: Her True Story – In Her Own Words’, Andrew Morton revealed the moment when Diana spoke of Charles’ unparalleled sadness.
Describing the moment when Diana joined Charles at one of his polo matches, Mr Morton spoke intimately during a barbecue.
In a conversation with friends, Diana told Charles: “I thought: ‘It’s wrong, you are lonely, you should be with somebody to look after you’.”
According to Mr Morton, the words touched a deep cord with Charles.
Such was the effect that it had on Charles, that he instantly looked on her in a new light.

Mr Morton also added that Diana told Charles: “You looked so sad when you walked up the aisle at the funeral.
“It was the most tragic thing I’ve ever seen.
“My heart bled for you when I watched it.”
The pair separated in 1996 following 15 years of marriage.

Following her divorce from Charles, Diana made one heartbreaking admission to a fashion designer about the impact of her divorce.
Speaking to Harper’s BAZAAR, Australian designer, Jayson Brundson revealed how Diana could not bring herself to wear one piece of clothing due to its link to Charles.
He said: “She went back to her bedroom and she came out holding like handfuls of shoes and bags and just dumped them all down on the couch.
“Then then said, ‘what do you think?’, so I went through them all and I found a pair of Chanel shoes, and I said, ‘well these would look great with the Versace’ and she said ‘no, I can’t wear linked Cs, the double C’.”
