ROYAL favourite Sophie Wessex and her teenage daughter Lady Louise Windsor have delivered an adorable Christmas charity message to fans. This is the festive pledge the eco-conscious royals made in the lead up to Christmas.
Sophie, Countess of Wessex is married to the Queen’s youngest son Prince Edward and is said to be her favourite daughter-in-law. Sophie and Edward have two children – Lady Louise Windsor, 16, and James, Viscount Severn, 12. The Countess and Lady Louise banded together to deliver a special Christmas message to royal fans.
Sophie, 54, is a full-time working Royal Family member and a patron of several charities.
This Christmas Sophie and her daughter Louise have backed charity LaplandUK’s campaign to plant a tree for every child in the UK.
In a special clip to promote the good cause Sophie is captured delivering a heartfelt message alongside her daughter Lady Louise.
Speaking to the camera Sophie says: “Father Christmas wants us to plant a tree for every child in the UK.
“Plan Tree: We can do this!”

Sophie and Prince Edward are expected to join the Queen with their two children for Christmas at Sandringham this year.
Last week the Countess stood in for the Queen at a very special engagement.
While the Queen remained in London the day after the general election, Sophie headed to Sandhurst military academy for the Sovereign’s Parade.

There she inspected graduating cadets who will go on to take part in the queen’s birthday parade – Trooping the colour.
Sophie seemed to send a special message to the Queen by wearing her favourite colour blue to the engagement.
The Queen is known to wear blue more than any other shade and the colour has special royal significance.
Former PR guru Sophie was a royal outsider before she began dating Prince Edward.
However, she quickly took to her royal role and proved herself a valuable asset to the family.
Royal expert Robert Jobson told the Telegraph: “[The Countess] is probably the best example of an outsider coming into the family and learning on the job.
“She’s very much the Queen’s favourite, and you’ll notice that whenever there is a family holiday or gathering, Sophie and Edward often stay a while longer than the rest.”
Palace insiders claim the Queen often invites Sophie to travel with her to church when she visits her at royal residences.

A former royal equerry told the Sun: “If Sophie Wessex is staying at Sandringham then you can pretty much guarantee the Queen will ask her – usually last thing on a Saturday night – if she would like ‘a lift’ to the church.”
“And the same happens at Balmoral. The Queen likes to be completely calm before church and she finds Sophie’s presence soothing.”
“Who gets the backseat is also one of those quirky royal ways that signals who is in favour.
“For example, Princess Anne may be staying at the same time, but how often do you see her in the Rolls?”
