CAMILLA, Duchess of Cornwall, has never sought to replace Princess Diana as the mother of Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge or Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, according to a royal expert.
Harry and William were the children of Diana and Charles, Prince of Wales, who Camilla married eight years after Diana’s tragic death. Camilla, like Charles, had been divorced before, having previously been married to army officer Andrew Parker Bowles. Biography Penny Junor explained: “You want your mum, you don’t want her, and she had her own family.”
Camilla had two children with Mr Parker Bowles, food critic Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes.
As reported by International Business Times, Ms Junor added: “To be fair to Camilla, she never tried to be Mummy, but she was the ‘other woman’ and she was there and taking Daddy’s time.”
Through her marriage to Charles, Camilla could be addressed as Princess of Wales, but she has rejected the option, with some suggesting this was because the title was associated so much with Diana.
Camilla is referred to as Duchess of Rothesay while in Scotland.

Harry has even called for the public to be more sympathetic to his stepmother.
He is reported to have said in ‘Harry: A Biography of a Prince’: “To be honest, she’s always been very close to me and William.
“She’s not a wicked stepmother. Look at the position she’s coming into. Don’t feel sorry for me and William, feel sorry for her.”
Since becoming Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla has undertaken several royal trips.
