PRINCE WILLIAM and Prince Harry didn’t see each other for six months after Harry married Meghan Markle, it has been claimed.
Prince Charles needs support from Harry and William says expert
Brothers Prince William and Prince Harry have always been portrayed as extremely close after the untimely death of their mother and growing up in the public eye. But for the past year, rumours of a rift have circulated. While the brothers have never confirmed the reports, sightings of them together in public have dwindled over the months.
Claims of a rift began to circulate shortly after Harry married Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
William reportedly tried to advise Harry against moving his relationship with Meghan along too quickly, which didn’t go down well.
Things reportedly deteriorated further when Meghan and Harry announced they’d be separating from the Kensington Palace household, establishing their own court in Windsor.
Emily Andrews, royal correspondent for The Sun, told Yahoo UK’s The Royal Box: “I was told, after the royal wedding, Harry and Meghan didn’t see Kate and William personally.”

While the brothers were pictured at formal royal occasions such as Trooping the Colour, they didn’t see each other privately for some six months, Ms Andrews said.
She said that one of William and Harry’s Kensington Palace aides said they had made a mistake in “continuing this narrative of the brothers in arms”.
She said: “We all remember those two young boys walking behind Diana’s coffin and we as a nation, our heart went out to them, that really is how we’ve seen them ever since.
“I think behind the scenes, Harry and William’s relationship has always been up and down actually but of course, we’ve never really seen that.”

Ms Andrews said she believes the splitting of households was good for the relationship. She said: “I think that has improved matters.”
Ms Andrews believes the “brotherly advice” William gave Harry before Meghan was part of the problem.
William was reportedly keen to ensure Harry took his time before asking anyone to join the Royal Family, but Harry took it as a slight.
Ms Andrews said: “I think it was meant very kindly in a well-meaning way but Harry was very defensive of Meghan and took it completely the wrong way and said to William something along the lines of, ‘You’re trying to destroy this relationship before it’s even started’.”

ITV’s royal editor, Chris Ship, said no one really knows what caused the rift.
He wrote: “No one is entirely sure what triggered it, or whether it’s related to one issue or many issues, but in royal circles, few will deny that there has been a fraternal rift – and it’s made things more than a little tricky.”
There is said to have been a “complete and utter breakdown of communication” between the brothers, and neither was willing to rectify the issue.
William’s wife, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, reportedly tried to mediate relations between the brothers.
Now that Harry and Meghan have welcomed a baby boy, Archie, hopes are that the families will be able to reunite.
