ONE ROYAL broke all protocol when she defiantly shaved off all her hair, her new book detailing her difficult childhood has revealed.

Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit has spoken out about her difficult childhood and rebellion in a tell-all book titled Homeland and Other Stories. The memoir features short stories and essays, as well as revealing never before heard details about her life before joining the royal family. The princess has spoken about how she travelled to Australia to escape, and how once in year three in high school, she shaved all of her hair off.

Princess Mette-Marit says in the book: “My childhood was based on taking a lot of responsibility early.

“As a result, I got a feeling very early on that I could stop the world, that I could make the world stand still.”

The Crown Princess explains in the book that she went through a phase of having a lot of anger towards her family and society.

She also revealed how she shaved off all her hair in year three in high school, and claimed her family just looked successful on the outside.

Who is Crown Princess Mette-Marit?
Crown Princess Mette-Marit, 46, was a Norwegian commoner who married crown Prince Haakon in 2001.

Crown Prince Haakon is the heir apparent to the Norwegian throne.

In this role, Princess Mette-Marit has focused efforts on humanitarian projects and arts, as well as taking part in official visits at home and abroad.

Since becoming crown princess, Mette-Marit has taken several university-level courses.

She gained a master’s degree in Executive Management in 2012.

Mette-Marit confessed to experiencing a rebellious phase before she met her husband.

She undertook her high-school studies as a part-time student, taking longer than usual to complete her education.

She then went on to take preparatory university courses at the University of Agder.

Later Mette-Marit worked on and off at the restaurant Cafè Engebret in Oslo.

The princess has three children, two with her royal husband.

Her first child is Marius Borg Høiby followed by Princess Ingrid Alexandra andPrince Sverre Magnus.
