Royal fury: Caller clash descends into chaos over Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s feud

James phoned into LBC to share his opinion on Meghan Markle and criticised the Duchess of Sussex for reportedly making the Duchess of Cambridge cry. However, Natasha Devon defended Meghan Markle and pointed out the caller’s lack of evidence to back up his claims.

James said: “She made Kate cry, Kate had to pull her up and say you don’t speak to servants that way.

“She has got an obnoxious attitude to other people, to other people below her she treats them like dirt.”

The LBC host replied: “So she made Kate cry on one occasion according to the tabloids.

“How do we know Kate has never made Meghan cry but we just don’t know about it?

 

James said: “Well, we would know about it if she had, Kate would never do that.

“Kate does not treat people the way this person treats people.”

Ms Devon responded: “What are your sources, James? Where have you got this information?”

The LBC caller added: “She [Meghan Markle] cuts them off once they are no longer useful to her.”

In November 2018, it was reported that Meghan Markle had made Kate cry in a dispute over Princess Charlotte’s outfit for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding.

By March 2020, the alleged feud between the royals had reached a point where Kate did not acknowledge Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during their final royal engagement, according to a royal commentator.

Katie Nicholl told Channel 5 that there was noticeable tension between the Cambridges and the Sussexes during the 2020 Commonwealth Service.

She added that the Duchess of Cambridge was obviously ignoring Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during the royal engagement.

Ms Nicholl said: “I was sitting behind William and Kate and Meghan and Harry, a few rows back at that service.

“There was absolutely tension between the two couples.

“While Kate turned around to speak to Edward and Sophie Wessex, she just did not acknowledge Meghan and Harry at all.

“That was very obvious.”
