PRINCE HARRY made a surprise comment about Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s relationship in a throwback interview, which has been put into question after months of feud rumours.
On Monday, all eyes were on the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex after they were spotted sharing a sweet embrace at the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey. Meghan and Kate, accompanied by their husbands, Prince William and Prince Harry, greeted each other with a kiss on both cheeks as they entered the Abbey to take their seats. It was the most public show of affection ever witnessed between the two sister-in-laws, which prompted royal fans to argue that the rumoured feud might have come to an end.
According to sources close to the Royal Family, the two are indeed close.
An insider told Vanity Fair: “They might not have a huge amount in common but Kate has no issue with Meghan.
“She wants them to get along, not just for Harry’s sake but because two royal sisters-in-law at loggerheads wouldn’t be good, and Kate knows that.
“For Kate, it’s about keeping their relationship professional and putting on a show of togetherness.”
The rumours that the royal in-laws were feuding started when, in November 2018, it was announced the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were moving out of Kensington Palace.
Shortly after the announcement, royal correspondent Camilla Tominey also claimed she was told by two sources that “Kate was left in tears” by Meghan following a bridesmaids dress fitting for Princess Charlotte before the royal wedding in May.
However, Prince Harry made a surprise comment about Meghan and Kate’s relationship in a throwback interview, which cast more light on how the two get on.
When Meghan and Harry spoke to the BBC for their first joint interview following their engagement announcement in November 2017, the Duke of Sussex was asked what it was like to introduce Meghan to his father, Prince Charles, and his brother, Prince William.
