Royal Family unmasked: Real reason behind Charlotte’s separate school identity

PRINCESS CHARLOTTE goes by a more common name only known to her friends and teachers while at school, an unearthed report has revealed.

Yesterday, Express.co.uk reported on how Princess Charlotte, the daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton, will never be granted the title of “Duchess”. This is despite her brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis, likely poised to receive a dukedom in the future. Like most royals, her title will change as she grows up. Her full title is Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge and she is fourth-in-line to the throne. But she is not even referred to as a Princess while in school. Ahead of Charlotte’s first day at the fee-paying Thomas’s Battersea school, it emerged that there would be no “Your Royal Highness” in the classroom.

This is presumably to ensure she has as normal an education as possible, something that is very important to her parents. Peole Magazine even suggested she may be called “Lottie” as mother Kate admitted often calling her.

It is in a similar vein to her father and uncle, Prince Harry. During their school days, the brothers were known as William and Harry Wales.

So, when William married and became Duke of Cambridge, George was naturally expected to take his father’s Duke title, just as Charlotte was. Charlotte’s cousin, Archie Harrison, will likely use his Mountbatten-Windsor surname at school.
