MEGHAN MARKLE has a “huge advantage” over Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, according to a royal expert.
Meghan’s background as an actress means she has experience dealing with the public, whereas Kate was thrown headfirst into being a royal at a relatively young age with no media training. Former royal bodyguard Ken Wharfe told the Daily Mail that from Meghan’s very first public engagement with Prince Harry she was “brilliant” at dealing with the media. He added that Diana would have liked that about her.
Mr Wharfe said: “Meghan is a consummate performer with her theatrical background, which gives her a huge advantage in dealing with the public.
“I remember her first public engagement with Harry in Nottingham, I think it was, and later at a radio station in Brixton and she was so brilliant in dealing with the media and talking to people with sincerity in her voice.
“Diana would have liked that.”
The experience of joining the Royal Family has been very different for the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge.

Meghan was in her 30s when he met Harry and was already a successful Hollywood actress in her own right.
She had many years of experience being in the limelight, dealing with press attention and public scrutiny.
Kate, on the other hand, met Prince William at university when she was 18.
They dated for 18 months in private before the newspapers got wind of their romance.
After graduating, Kate immediately faced incredible media scrutiny that nearly broke the couple – they separated briefly in 2007 before reuniting several months later.
That said, she has grown into the role and does a very admirable job.
Mr Wharfe also expressed how he thought Diana would see Meghan if she was still around today.
He said: “I don’t see that there would have been any jealousy on Diana’s part.

“Diana had taken some time to achieve that high performance level, but that all came as a result of hard work.”
He added “Diana would have liked that her son had married an American divorcee, a woman of mixed heritage.
“I can see Diana putting two fingers up to the monarchy on the strength of that one, saying, ‘This is fantastic, this is the future of this family, this is the way it has to be.’”
