Royal baby: Kate Middleton’s due date revealed by a royal expert – it will be on THIS day
ROYAL BABY: Kate Middleton’s due date has been revealed on by a royal expert, who says the baby is expected to arrive on April 23, 2018. The day has a special significance in the United Kingdom.
The royal baby due date, when Kate Middleton, 36, will give birth to her third child with Prince William, 35, has finally been revealed.
The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to give birth on the date of 23 April, revealed royal correspondent Emily Andrews on Lorraine.
“Kate is due on St George’s Day which is the 23rd of April,” revealed the insider to excited viewers on the programme.
Prior to this, the only information given by Kensington Palace was that Kate would give birth in the month of April.
Kensington Palace wrote in a tweet last October: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2018.”
However, Emily warned that there is no guarantee the baby will actually be born on this date.
This speculation is based on the Duchess’ previous two pregnancies, with Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2, who were both born late.
“She was late with George and Charlotte but I would imagine the baby will be arriving in the last week of April,” said Emily.
She also added that the anticipation of the third child’s birth – which she referred to as “Royal baby watch number three”, was different to that of Kate’s first child, George.
“It’s not quite the furor or the intensity of when she was pregnant with George,” said Emily.
She added that the planned date “doesn’t give Kate long” before the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
When is Kate Middleton’s due date?
According to Emily, Kate Middleton’s due date is on April 23 2018. However, while due dates are helpful, they do not necessarily determine when a woman will give birth.
All pregnant women in the United Kingdom are, like Kate, given a due date by their medical practitioner.
“The date is first calculated by using the date of [a woman’s] last period and adding 280 days, or 40 weeks,” according to the BBC.
Yesterday, it was revealed royal baby name odds among bookies have shifted in favour of a certain boys’ name, which is currently the most favoured male baby name.
That name is Philip – the same name as the future baby’s great grandfather, Prince Philip, 96, who is currently recovering after a hip operation yesterday.
The odds among Ladbrokes betters have been slashed from 25/1 for the name Philip to the current odds of 16/1.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said the name choice would have a “lovely” significance.
“With Her Majesty being honoured with one of Charlotte’s middle names, it would be a lovely touch if Philip was to be Kate and Wills’ choice for their second son.”
