Queen’s bitter joke REVEALED – Monarch ‘ignored Camilla at her wedding to Prince Charles’
THE Queen made it perfectly clear at Princes Charles’s wedding to Camilla Parker Bowles that she did not approve of her son’s new bride and even made a joke about the Grand National rather than speaking about her new daughter-in-law, an explosive new book has claimed.
The wedding was on the same day as the Queen’s beloved Grand National in 2005 and she reportedly made a joke surrounding her horses rather than talking about the relationship of Prince Charles and Camilla.
The monarch also did not even mention Camilla’s name in her speech of congratulations showing the frosty relations between the Queen and Camilla after Diana died.
The revelations have been made in a new biography of Prince Charles called Rebel Prince, written by Tom Bower.
According to Mr Bower, the Queen said: “I have two important announcements to make.
“I know you will all want to know who was the winner of the Grand National. It was Hedgehunter.

“Secondly, having cleared Becher’s Brook and The Chair and all kinds of other terrible obstacles, they have come through and I’m very proud and wish them well.
“My son is home and dry with the woman he loves. They are now on the home straight; the happy couple are now in the winner’s enclosure.”
According to the book the Queen told his son that she would not support his adultery and decided to cut Camilla out of all official events.
Mr Bower even claimed that the Queen called Camilla “that wicked woman” and said “I want nothing to do with her”.
When the couple finally wed in 2005 they were not allowed to marry in the Church of England, but instead tied the knot at Windsor Town Hall.
Since this time, the Queen has been seen to soften her harsh stance on the marriage and she has invited Camilla to various events, such as the Windsor Horse Show.
Clarence House will not be commenting on the book’s claims.
