Showing George smiling with joy, the six-year-old royal was pictured in an England football shirt. George has recently been seen showing off his football skills during a family day out at a polo match. However, the football theme continued throughout his birthday as Hello magazine has revealed the touching gesture Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge carried out to mark the special day.
According to the magazine, George’s parents treated the youngster to a football party for himself and his classmates from school.
Following George’s birthday celebrations, the family then jetted off for a family holiday to Mustique.
Despite holding a birthday party for the young royal, the family celebrated his actual birthday on the Caribbean island.
William and Kate first visited Mustique in 2008 and such was their love for the destination, they now go every year.

Speaking on their favoured holiday destination, one royal source told Fabulous Digital: “They are going to Mustique again.
“It is incredibly private and incredibly discreet but not remote.
“They know and trust the staff who work there and they are creatures of habit.
“Kate used to go there, the Middletons used to go there. The family love it.”

Both William and Kate are not expected to return royal duties until September.
The two, however, will take part in The King’s Cup regatta.
The King’s Cup takes on the Isle of Wight and will see William and Kate go head to head as both royals skipper a boat each.
Funds from the regatta will go towards the charitable causes supported by the pair.
