QUEEN ELIZABETH II’s most senior advisor has spoken out and explained the “unsatisfactory” move Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could make next.
Thomas Woodcock, who is known as Garter, has claimed that it would not be just for the couple to cash in on their ‘Sussex Royal’ brand after it was announced their titles had been dropped. This month, the Royal Family was embroiled in a historical crisis after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their intentions to step down as senior royal figures. Although the dispute has been resolved, Mr Woodcock, the Garter Principal King of Arms, explained that members of the family were “even royal or not”.
His role within the Royal Family is to ensure that royal symbols are not used in a commercial way.
With the launch of their own Sussex Royal website and social media channels, some believe they could be making money from the brand following their split.
However, in an interview with The Times, Mr Woodcock said: “I don’t think it’s satisfactory.
“One cannot be two things at once.

“You either are [royal] or you’re not.”
He added: “It is such unusual times that it is a matter of waiting and seeing how things develop.”
It comes as Prince Harry was issued a stark ultimatum by the Queen ahead of his exit from the Royal Family alongside his wife Meghan Markle, an insider has revealed.

The pair have confirmed their intention to now spend their life in the UK and North America as they bid to become “financially independent”.
Meghan has been spending time in Canada with the couple’s baby son Archie after last being seen in the UK earlier this month.
But a palace source has confirmed that he and Meghan had to “agree” to certain terms of protocol before ditching their role within the family.
The insider added: “It was made abundantly clear to Harry, agree to this and then you can go.

“By his own admission it was not under the terms he wanted but he had no other option.
“There was no halfway house, no half-in-half-out arrangement, and this was the only one on the table.
“Meghan and Harry were so desperate to get out they had no choice and on the face of it, it looks like they have given up a considerable amount.”
If the couple had continued in their senior position within the Royal Family, they would be unable to use their status to create their own income.
