A RARE snapshot into Buckingham Palace was granted when the Queen greeted Boris Johnson as the new Prime Minister, but does this subtle detail reveal the Queen’s feelings towards Meghan and Kate?
The Queen met with Boris Johnson this week, and a historic photo was taken to commemorate the occasion. Eagle-eyed fans have spotted details in the background of the photo, which was taken inside the Queen’s home, Buckingham Palace. There is one table which holds pictures of the Queen’s grandchildren and their partners which has sparked controversy.
In the background of the photo of the Queen and Mr Johnson, one table holds pictures of Prince Harry and Meghan, and Prince William and Kate.
The photo shows the picture of Meghan and Harry is in front of the image of Kate and William.
With suggestions of a feud between the two brothers and their wives, could this hint that the Queen prefers Meghan to Kate?
This is hard to say, as the pictures are probably positioned to look the best on the table rather than in order of preference.

The framed photo of Meghan and Harry is smaller than the one of Kate and William, so this could be a logical explanation for why it is at the front.
The photos in question are from the couples’ respective official engagement photoshoots, with the royals appearing in similar positions.
Both Meghan and Kate are pictured on their now-husband’s left-hand sides, with their left hand on show to display their engagement rings.
Meghan and Harry’s photo was first spotted in the room in May last year when the Queen met with the Australian High Commissioner George Brandis.

Kate and William’s photo was taken in the State Apartment at St James’s Palace in November 2010.
On the right side of the same table, the Queen has chosen a rather dapper photograph of William and Harry in their military uniform.
A table on the other side of the room showcases pictures of Prince Charles, also in military dress.
Another rather lavish feature in the Queen’s room also had royal fans talking.

Queen snub: An expensive Dyson fan was also spotted in the Queen’s room (Image: PA)
The Queen had a large Dyson air conditioning fan placed in front of the fireplace, facing into the room.
The expensive gadget both heats and cools and is Dyson’s HP02 Hot + Cool Link model, which costs £480.
There is no surprise the Queen opted for a fan on Wednesday, as the UK saw temperatures skyrocket this week.
On Thursday, it was the hottest day in the UK on record as temperatures soared to 38.7C in Cambridge.
