Queen Elizabeth latest: Amazing 1940s video shows Charles looked just like Prince George

QUEEN Elizabeth II archive video footage depicts a heartwarming scene of the Royal Family surrounding a young Prince Charles during his christening, looking almost identical to his grandson Prince George.

A nostalgic vintage film of the Royal Family shows a stunning resemblance between Charles and Prince George.

In the black and white footage, the infant prince has just been christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Geoffrey Fisher.

Gathered in the music room of the palace, the Queen cradles Charles while Prince Philip leans over the pair with a look of fondness.

Shortly after, Prince Charles is sleeping peacefully and propped up by Queen Elizabeth, for what seems to be a family photo.

The Queen briefly speaks to her grandmother, Mary of Teck, who insightful on her left-hand side.

The camera then pans to a shot of the Prince being cradled by Queen Mary, who distinctively wears all black with an elegant pearl necklace and earrings.

It seems the Royal Family will still be creating nostalgic footage for years to come, with their filming for a documentary titled “Queen of the World’ is aired on ITV next week.

The documentary focuses mainly on the Commonwealth, of which the Queen is head of, and the meeting of the heads of government from the 53 nations, called CHOGM.

53 countries, oh my goodness

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex

During filming, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate, was on maternity leave and not taking part in functions.

Prince Harry appears during the trailer with insightful comments about his grandmother.

Revealing the intimate realities of having a Queen for a grandmother, he said: “If you suddenly bump into her in the corridor, don’t panic, and then you will, we all do.”

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, is in the documentary too, viewing her wedding dress for the first time.
She beams with a smile and then touches the veil, which features hand-embroidered flowered from each of the 53 countries of the Commonwealth.

Meghan said: “53 countries, oh my goodness.”

On close inspection, it appears the Duchess is wearing the blue Roland Mouret dress she wore on the eve of her marriage – the same garment she inspired Jennifer Garner to wear when the actress accepted her star on the Hollywood walk of fame last month.

Meghan was spotted in the distinctive, off-the-shoulder dress when she arrived at Cliveden House with her mother, Doria Ragland, the night before she became Prince Harry’s wife.
