Hasn’t she grown up? Princess Margaret’s granddaughter arrives for Christmas lunch
Princess Margaret’s granddaughter showed how much she has grown up since she was a bridesmaid at Kate and Wills wedding as she arrived for Christmas lunch today.
Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones arrived at Buckingham Palace to join some 50 other relatives for the Queen’s Christmas lunch.
With her sandy-coloured blonde hair tucked behind one ear, she appeared to be wearing a high-neck white top or dress with sparkling stud earrings.
Margarita, now 15, was a bridesmaid at the 2011 wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thanks to the family’s royal ties.
While the wedding may have remembered for the couple’s adorable balcony kiss and the grumpy bridesmaid pictured with her hands over her eyes to block out the roar of the Mall, Lady Margarita stunned the crowds with her innocent smile.
Wearing an off-white satin bridesmaid dress, the young royal – the granddaughter of the Queen’s sister – grinned cheekily as she clutched at her bouquet of posies.
Now 15, she looked slightly more sullen as she was snapped in the car on her way to Christmas lunch but the real surprise was how much she has grown up.
The annual Christmas lunch celebration is a royal tradition.
Attending today are immediate members of the royal family including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as the lesser known royals.
Prince Charles was accompanied by Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, as the couple arrived at the Palace.
In another car was Princess Eugenie, who spotted in the passenger seat as she made her way to her grandmother’s house.
With Prince William at the wheel of the black Range Rover, Kate is seen grinning in the front passenger seat as the pull up at the Queen’s London residence.
In the back are Prince George and Princess Charlotte, with the family’s nanny sat between the two young royals.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have also been snapped on their way to the lunch – the former Suits star’s chance to meet more of her future in-laws.
The newly-engaged couple, who will marry in May, were pictured leaving Kensington Palace in their black Range Rover this morning.
Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, daughter Gabriella of Windsor, Princess Alexandra, and the Duchess of Gloucester were also all snapped arriving today.
Lady Helen Taylor, driven by her husband Timothy, were also in attendance.
