Princess Eugenie wedding dress odds REVEALED: ‘We are in for a TREAT’
Princess Eugenie will marry long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank tomorrow at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
With just one day to go, speculation is high over what dress the Princess will be wearing for her royal wedding.
Eugenie, 28, has kept her dress a secret since announcing her engagement to Mr Brooksbank, 32, in January.
Victoria Howard, founder of royal fashion website Replicate Royalty, said predicting a gown could be difficult but Eugenie is likely to impress.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, the royal commentator said: “I think it will be difficult for anyone to predict a wedding dress designer for the day, because she doesn’t seem to favour just one label.
“Brands I’m going to throw out there that might be involved are Erdem, Roland Mouret, Sandro, Max Mara but I would just adore if Oscar de la Renta did her dress.
“Their looks tend to be on the glamorous side and just very special.
“Sleeves are almost certain because it’s a church wedding and in front of the Queen. It seems to be a royal bride tradition despite fashion.
“She’s not really shown a propensity for lace, and her engagement interview mentioned not being a meringue but somewhere in-between. I think we’re in for a treat though!”
It comes as Erdem is the favourite designer at the bookmakers for Eugenie’s wedding dress, at 2/1 with Ladbrokes.
But Ladbrokes cuts odds from 9/2 to 3/1 for British design brand Suzannah after a flurry of bets.
Jenny Packham is at 5/1 with Ladbrokes, Preen is 6/1 and Suzanne Neville is 8/1.
And Paddy Power has suspended betting on Eugenie wearing Stella McCartney after a flood of bets.
In a previous interview with Vogue, Eugenie revealed that she knew the designer and style of dress she wanted as soon as she announced her royal wedding.
The Princess said: “As soon as we announced the wedding, I knew the designer, and the look, straight away.
“I never thought I’d be the one who knew exactly what I like, but I’ve been pretty on top of it.”
In an appearance on the BBC’s The One Show earlier this year, Eugenie was asked if she had a dress in mind and if it would be a straight or meringue gown.
She said: “I don’t know, maybe a mix of both. Can you do that? Is there such a thing?
“No meringue shoulders, that’s a little bit out of fashion – maybe it’s in fashion now? We’ll see what happens.”
The bride has today been pictured arriving at Windsor Castle with Mr Brooksbank, Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, ahead of her big day.
