Princess Eugenie wedding dress: Designer shares dress ideas ahead of second Royal Wedding
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Royal Wedding may be over, but royal fans have another romance to look forward to as Princess Eugenie, the Queen’s granddaughter, will marry Jack Brooksbank in October.
The countdown has already begun for the Royal Wedding of Eugenie, who is the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, the Duchess of York.
And while it may not have the same international hype former US actress Meghan brought to her and Harry’s big day, Eugenie and Jack’s royal wedding on October 12 will be “a charming affair”.
Like Meghan’s bridal gown before her big day, Eugenie’s wedding dress details are a tightly guarded secret.
However bridal experts believe Eugenie, who is a director at a London art gallery, will “embrace high” fashion and showcase her creative flair.
British luxury wedding dress designer Caroline Arthur suggested Eugenie may push the boundaries of royal protocol with a high-low hem hem or off-the-shoulder straps with cape to cover her shoulders, in line with the current high fashion tends.
It would not to the first time the Princess has chosen a more out there design as the Queen’s granddaughter is known for her creative and bold fashion choises.
Ms Arthur told Express.co.uk: “As a thoroughly modern princess, Eugenie has embraced high fashion, and has also shared her own personal journey publicly, with regards to her scoliosis.
“It has implications for the fit of a dress which will most likely influence the choice of style.
“Eugenie has a fabulous hourglass figure, elegant posture despite her condition, and graceful sloping shoulders. She clearly loves floral fabrics, unusual patterns and necklines, and seems to favour a figure-hugging silhouette.
Sharing a photo from her latest collection with the Express.co.uk, Ms Arthur added: “I would expect the Princess to incorporate some of the current Bridal fashion trends of 2018: maybe a high-low hem, box pleated skirt, either a plunging V neck, or off-the-shoulder straps, and perhaps a cape in a 3D floral design.”
“I would speculate she might choose a designer such as Sharon Bowen-Dryden, Oscar de la Renta or Vivienne Westwood.”
The photo taken by Benni Carol Wedding Photography shows a delicate lace cape designed by Ms Arthur which she believes could be similar to one Eugenie might wear on her big day.
Princess Eugenie will marry Mr Brooksbank at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, the same venue of Meghan and Harry’s Royal Wedding.
Eugenie and Jack’s nuptials will be the 17th royal wedding held at the royal chapel which was also the venue for Queen’s youngest son Prince Edward’s marriage to Sophie Rhys-Jones.
In February the official Twitter account for Eugenie’s father the Duke of York tweeted: “The marriage of Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie to Mr Jack Brooksbank will take place on 12th October 2018.
“As previously announced, the wedding will take place at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.”
It is expected to low key in comparison to Meghan and Harry’s big day.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk: “In total contrast, the wedding between Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank will be a charming affair but low key with little public interest and there will be considerably less fascination in the media.
“They seem ideally matched and have been dating for some seven years.
