Eugenie and Jack shared an adorable black and white photo of their little one shortly after his birth.
The Instagram post showed the new parents each holding their son’s hand in their own.
While Eugenie and Jack are yet to release their son’s name to the world a close friend of the couple has claimed the baby is a “complete dream.”
The source told People Magazine Eugenie opted for a c-section over a natural birth due having previously had spinal surgery for scoliosis – a condition the princess has dealt with for most of her life.
The insider said Eugenie was “doing really well” and the new mum was “very content.”
Sharing about the new royal baby, the insider said Eugenie “sounded very content and said the baby is a complete dream!”
Other than the photo Eugenie and Jack shared on Instagram no new photos of their baby have been released.
Eugenie’s son is 11th in line to the throne and as a non-working royal Eugenie is not bound by the same protocol as other more senior members of the monarchy.
While Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, 39, and Meghan Markle, 39, posed for photos with their newborns shortly after the births, Eugenie is unlikely to do an official photo shoot.
Instead, the royal is likely to share more pictures on social media when she feels ready.
Frogmore Cottage is Meghan Markle and Harry’s UK home and it’s understood they have loaned the property to Eugenie and Jack while they remained based in the USA.
The large property is a short distance from Eugenie’s parents’ home the Royal Lodge in Great Windsor Park.
Prince Andrew, 60, and Sarah Ferguson, 60, are understood to be bubbled with their daughter in order to help out with childcare.
Writing in the Telegraph last week royal editor Camilla Tominey said: “It is certainly convenient that Eugenie and Jack are now based just a stone’s throw away from Windsor Castle, having moved into Frogmore Cottage following the departure of Harry and Meghan to the US almost a year ago. (Reports of them having moved out after six weeks appear wide of the mark.)”
She added: “It is understood the new parents will be spending a great deal of time at Royal Lodge, the Windsor home Prince Andrew shares with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, with whom they are now able to form a ‘support bubble’ following the baby’s birth.”
When will Eugenie’s baby’s name be released?
The Queen traditionally approves royal baby names before they are announced to the public.
Given Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed they were pregnant with their second child on Sunday, Eugenie may have wanted to wait a bit before making her announcement.
Eugenie’s son is the Queen and Prince Philip’s ninth great-grandchild and is unlikely to be a working royal.
The princess is likely to be enjoying downtime at home as she settles into motherhood but a baby name announcement is expected soon.
