Princess Charlotte SHAKEN: How little royal was ‘unsure’ of THIS scary task

PRINCESS CHARLOTTE lives an unusual life for a four-year-old, sheltered behind palace walls. But her father recently revealed she’s just like any other little girl on family trips out.

Princess Charlotte is the second child and only daughter of Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge. She is fourth in the line of succession to the throne after her older brother, Prince George. She also has a younger brother, Prince Louis.

Prince William revealed some unusual details of their family life this week when speaking to people supported by the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust in Cardiff.

One of those he spoke to was Rhian Roberts, a primary school teacher.

Prince William revealed to Rhian what the Cambridge family had been up to over the children’s half-term break

They spent the break at Anmer Hall, their country retreat in Norfolk, known to be their favourite place.

William revealed: “We’ve been lambing with the children this week.”

Lambing is the time in spring when baby lambs are born, the pinnacle of the sheep farming year.

However, William revealed little Charlotte took some encouraging.

He said: “Charlotte wasn’t sure at first but George was straight in there.”

As for his youngest, 21-month-old Louie just “loves the tractors”.

Charlotte seems to have come around, and couldn’t resist the newborn baby lambs.

William said: “They love seeing the lambs and feeding the lambs.”

After their meeting, Rhian said the Duke was very “down to earth”.

She said: “We were talking about the land where he was and the land where we are, which is a mining area.

“He said they’ve been lambing this week up in Norfolk.

“They want the children to see the country way of life as well as the city way of life.”

The Duchess has also revealed how important she thinks it is to expose her children to nature and different ways of life.

Speaking recently on Giovanna Fletcher’s podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby as part of the launch of her “5 Big Questions on the Under Fives” survey, Kate was asked when she felt happiest.

She responded: “When I’m with my family outside in the countryside and we’re all filthy dirty.”

She also recalled her own childhood spent outdoors: “As children, we spent a lot of time outside, and it’s something I’m really passionate about.

“I think it’s so great for physical and mental wellbeing and laying foundations.”
